Excuse Me?! (The Life of a Special Ed. Teacher)

Rated 5.00/5 based on 5 reviews
Teachers: we've all seen them out and about in society. When I was little I figured that their classrooms were like their own private little biospheres; I just didn't know where they slept. (I about fainted the first time I saw my teacher at a grocery store.)
OK, so maybe they are just like everybody else, but what about special education teachers? Surely they aren't normal...right? More

I'm not one to laugh while reading but you had me laughing not stop. This was a great veiw into what it's like to be a teacher with our troubled youth and considering that that population is growing, this has got to be more and more common. This is a must read for any parent that has a child a bit on the wild side but truth is, anyone would enjoy this as it gives a great perspective on our public education system. Great job Patrick Wallace, your as good an author as you are a teacher and mentor. Hope we see more of your work in the future.

This book was awesome. Hilarious and intriguing. I had no idea what it was like to be a Special Ed teacher. I had some sort of idea that it was tough to be a regular teacher nowadays with all of the self entitled sue happy brats, however, it seems like Special Ed is an entirely different playing field. My hats off to you sir for doing the good deeds you do.

I read the entire book while at the gym. It was so fantastic that it kept me on the eliptical machine for over an hour. What a great read. Mr. Wallace really gives you a different perspective when it comes to teaching/educating our troubled youth. We need more people like Mr. Wallace in this world. Can't wait for the follow up!!!
