Born and raised in Vacaville, California, Amber started showing a taste for all things horror and grim at the age of two, when she watched her first horror movie. She also developed a fondness for creating her own stories early on, and the combination of the two seemed only natural.
Amber now lives in Northern California with her dog and two kitties.

Four teenaged friends try to survive a zombie outbreak. Good thing our plucky heroine, Jo, was raised by a military dad, who taught her how to use a gun, track wild animals, and basic and advanced survival skills. Apparently, she can use yarn as a garrote. He he he. Loved that one. That's some damn strong yarn. But Jo's a Renaissance woman - she knits, as well as handles butterfly swords. Pretty darn good for a teenager. I will still working on overcoming acne when I was her age. I must be a little jealous, LOL.
This was a decent zombie read, with only a few editorial flaws. Our four friends were interesting, although none of them seemed to have real personalities to me except for our protagonist, Jo. The book was interesting enough that I will read "Tonight the World Dies", to which this is a prequel. Kudos to the author on a fun, entertaining read.
