About Drew Niemeyer

Drew Niemeyer is a professional musical instrument technician currently residing in Brisbane, Australia.
Drew completed studies in clarinet performance under the guidance of Nigel Sabin and Paul Dean, and has led an active musical career teaching and performing. His participation in instrumental and solo concerto competitions has won him numerous prizes and awards.
Drew began training in woodwind repair in 1992 under the direction of Andrew Berrington and later completed training at the Buffet company in France. He has met with directors and staff of various international manufacturers, observing techniques and technologies employed in instrumental manufacture.
He is often engaged in research, workshops and repair forums where he maintains connections to associations and other repair technicians in the trade. His knowledge in the areas of performance and instrumental construction allows him to offer advice with high quality repair and servicing to professional musicians. He deals with clients throughout Australia and the Asia-Pacific region.
