About Liz Roadifer

Liz Roadifer is an award-winning author, poet, and columnist. Her work has been published in newspapers, magazines, and literary journals.

Born and raised in Clifton, New Jersey, she attended the University of Wyoming and fell in love with the wide-open sky, high plains, and friendly laid-back people of Wyoming, and a certain cowboy from a ranch near Sundance. She now lives in a small town outside of Cheyenne with her husband and enjoys spending time with her sons, daughter-in-law, and three rambunctious grandchildren.

I have had many people ask me why, if I write psychological thrillers, do I also write romantic fantasy. The answer is easy. My brain needs balance. After months writing a fast-paced thriller about murder and mayhem, danger and testy relationships, it’s nice to take a mental vacation and write about love and humor, magic and mayhem. Yes, mayhem is a constant because without conflict, a book would be boring. At least in my romantic fantasies, the mayhem isn’t so hard-edged and desperate. Plus it’s fun to visit the magical town of Peace & Prosperity and explore its wide range of eccentric and mythical citizens, its back alleys, crazy laws, and fantastic shops. One never knows who or what is waiting around the corner. With pesky, playful, fun-loving fairies around, it’s never a dull moment.

Why five stars? 1. Because this is one of the most heart-stopping, memorable first scenes I've read, and because the author is able to sustain that tension throughout the book. 2. Because I admired the protagonists - wanted to possess Gilliam's courage and compassion, and the detective, Sam, is smart, capable, and attractive. 3. Because the novel is gritty, sexy, unpredictable and interesting from first page to last. Liz Roadifer is an author to bookmark. Looking forward to her next release.
