Review by: Samuel Solomon on Sep. 02, 2011 :
This book was AWESOME!!! As a future TEFL teacher, I found this immensely helpful, including survival tactics, how things REALLY work, and techniques to make the classes more bearable, and how to avoid or stem pitfalls. This book has humor, academic excellence, and valuable insights abound within it. This is the dirty glorious truth about TEFL from a man who knows.

It's worth the price just for the entertainment value, but worth 100 times as much if you are considering TEFL as a vocation, or currently teach ESL, home or abroad. I also highly recommend the other book available by this author- "To Travel Hopelessly"...

I loved it, and may donate further to the author, just for the extensive value I found within his writings, musings, and advice. Thank you, English Teacher X!!!
