This is a delightful book, full of colorful observations that bring back memories of fishing adventures from Chesapeake Bay to Boca Chica on the mouth of the Rio Grande. No book of this sort can be truly comprehensive; even a serious student like John can only provide the highlights. But this treatise does a great job of conveying the general flavor of some of the very best redfish destinations in the country. I would have included West Matagorda Bay in Texas, but as I said, no one could possibly cover the entire subject in detail. Great read when it's too cold and windy to take the boat out! Highly recommended.
