This was probably not the book to start this series with. It was somewhat confusing as the story changes characters, at first feeling like two separate stories, but it never got so weird that I set it down. Reading to the end, the confusion is explained, why characters are added and relationships changed from the opening, so things do make sense in the end. There was soem foreshadowing, but I seemed to have missed a good portion of it until I got further into the story.
I did enjoy it and look forward to learning more about these characters in other books, so I do recommend it, just not as the first read in the series.
