Another gem of a short story which I found free this week on Smashwords. "Helena" is the solitary tale of a single mother of a sick infant, who ventures out to find medicine for her baby. The story is well told, with an immediacy that made me want to close my eyes for the entire ending sequence. Kudos to the author.
