About John Briggs

I'm a former nationally syndicated TV children's critic and education reporter who currently makes his living as a book editor for adult aInd children's titles. I was born outside Philadelphia and raised in the Pocono Mountains. I picked up a bachelor's degree in Political Science from Temple University before studying creative writing at NYU. I have published more than 1,600 articles as a reporter, but my favorite subject to write about is history. I enjoy baseball, reading, hot tea, and lecturing my preteen son on just about everything.
