About Savine

I am a housewife with plenty of time on her hands. My husband (of 10.5 years!) is infantry in the U.S. Army, and we are still very much in love. My child is 10 years old and has ADHD and dyslexia. (Being a parent of a child with these conditions has not been easy - as conventional parenting is not effective.) We have an adorable pug who is quite heavy, but very lean. I love to cook, especially baking, and would love to have my own bakery shop one day.

I am 30-years-old and have never enjoyed the idea of social media - I haven't really ever been a social person to begin with. I have never understood why so many people obsess over gaining attention from strangers with all of their twitter feeds, youtube videos, and whatever the hell else is out there. I have a Facebook account, and I don't even like to post on there. I just keep up with the family and -real- friends that I have.

That being said, I am forcing myself to break out of my nice, warm hidey-hole and venture out into the vast scary world of social media...starting with a blog. I have read some great blogs over the years, primarily about food, and the majority of them were witty, full of useless information, and contain plenty of pictures. Me - I try to be witty, but often fail, I don't care for useless information like describing my day, and I dislike taking pictures. That's my blog...plain ole text, like reading from an old fashioned book. I am going to be writing short stories, simply because I have always loved to write. I am not the greatest writer by any comparison, but that's part of the reason to just write...to become better.
