About Pauleen Novosel

Pauleen Novosel has been exploring literature all her life. As a child in Queensland, she was introduced to the habit of reading books through pleasurable experiences of sharing vocabulary and storylines with her mother. Her long career in teaching focussed on literacy, particularly with young students, to implant the love of writing and creating characters. Pauleen has an avid interest in the arts, having also been a music specialist and speech and drama teacher for many years. Travel with her husband Wilhelm introduced Pauleen to the fascinating histories to be found in Europe and the wider world.
As a grandmother now herself, Pauleen enjoys participating with her grandchildren in imaginative storytelling, poetry and song. She continues her learning journey through travel, fiction and poetry writing and her interest in developing educational resources. Pauleen’s CanUCards series of Literacy, Numeracy and Australian History books for children of all ages have been published by Essential Resources Publishers Pty Ltd and sell in many countries worldwide. Pauleen’s eldest son, Jason, shares the creative genes of his mother as co-writer of the CanUCards series.
