About Lynnette Phillips

I've always loved books and reading. I can't remember when I didn't have a library card--libraries are just the most amazing places and librarians, being the most knowledgeable generous people I've had the privilege of meeting, deserve an exalted place in society.

As the Avid Reader Book Reviews Blogger my book reviews and blog are widely read and followed by literary enthusiasts. I have also been invited to post guest blog posts for others, most lately by bestselling author CJ Lyons.

The Avid Reader Book Reviews (AKA Avid Book Reviews) blog posts not only book reviews but also author interviews & readings (usually by video), information on libraries and literacy, book trailers, videos pertaining to anything related to books, and sponsored book giveaways. I am a multi-genre kind of gal but my favorites are mystery/suspense/thrillers, historical fiction, young adult… but my list favorites just keep growing.

I am also author of Confessions & Secrets of the Avid Book Reviews Blogger serial which offer invaluable book marketing and promotional tips, available resources, how-to information and more.

My newest launch entails book doctor services and I hope to eventually expand into more detailed coaching services.

I will also soon be cohosting a BlogTalkRadio show which I'm very excited (and apprehensive) about.

My blog covers book reviews and all things books; author interviews, author readings, book trailers and more.

I view literacy as vital to life's adventures. Reading can give such amazing views, insights, enjoyment and even diversion. Some of my favorite genres for pleasure are historical fiction, legal thrillers, suspense and mysteries books.

My life has been filled with different kinds of books though to match whatever was happening at the time...young motherhood, teaching aide, administrative assistant, student, researcher, legal assistant, realtor, writer...

Nice tool in learning how to contact a book blogger to help market your book. Easy to understand and I particularly like the questions Ms. Phillips adds for authors to take into consideration when searching for a book blogger. She adds tips for Google search and explains the difference in editors and proofreaders. This is a big help to authors trying to find their way into marketing their books!

This is a short but valuable book, because it gives some tips on how to promote your book by getting it reviewed by book bloggers. I learned that these book bloggers are passionate about authors they discover, and they're the best friends an indie author can have. There are some links to further resources on this topic, and I'd have to say this was a valuable book for me, and it opened up new doors in my marketing efforts.
