This was ok, I was leaning towards 2 stars because it is a bit less than average quality, but it is not really bad, just a bit wordy and has some logistically issues.

To much time is spent on character development that adds little to the plot and story line.

Logistically; the Mermaids have no chance of being a big dollar commodity if they can be breed at the rates described in the story.
