Shockingly controversial! I still can't stop thinking of how the story ended...This will be great for my book club...lots of serious discussion could come out from this story. I highly recommend it to other readers.

I just finished Marianne Clements's Daughters of Abraham. It's a great read, a mix of history and cultural contrasts (and inequities for women), and a story of friendship between two two women, one principled, the other materialistic. It all comes together in a wrenching, powerful climax. A colorful literary adventure. E. Whipple
