Powerful and detailed synopsis of a true and tragic story from Prince Edward Island in Canada. The human details of this story would have gone undocumented if not for Joanne McGuigans research and narration. Briliant.

Review by: Anne-Marie Murphy on Jan. 05, 2015 :
The Tragedy of Minnie McGee delves into the jumbled mind of a young woman burdened by migraines , complicated by the onset of depression after giving birth. The story is sensitively and sympathetically told , timeless in its nature and appeal . The author, a natural story teller , retells a century old event , retracing and revisiting Prince Edward Island place names with an accuracy based on fact, folk lore and research. A good story, to be saved for a rainy night.
