About Jay Northcote

Jay lives just outside Bristol in the West of England. He comes from a family of writers, but always used to believe that the gene for fiction writing had passed him by. He spent years only ever writing emails, articles, or website content.

One day, Jay decided to try and write a short story—just to see if he could—and found it rather addictive. He hasn't stopped writing since.

Jay writes contemporary romance about men who fall in love with other men. Jay has five books published by Dreamspinner Press, and he also self-publishes under the imprint Jaybird Press.

Among other things, I can say that the author really understands the life of a freelance writer. Specifically, the fact that it's tough to meet people. I liked that the pluses and minuses of working at home are displayed so well here, in between the gay romance parts.

The author did a good job of describing the emotions of the characters, and the awkwardness of the characters really came through.

Jim and Patrick's romantic dance is not without its problematic elements, but the realism and self-awareness kept the story grounded.

A very sweet, cute and sexy holiday story.
This book gave me a warm smile while reading it.
And this one is my first Jay's book. So, if all of her books are similar sweet like this, I'm definitely will read some of her books.Oh, and I loved Patrick and Jim's tendency for stalking to each other.
It's entertaining and cute. Loved this.

First Class Package was a cute and sweet story.

Jim works from home as a writer. One day a new postman comes and delivers a package to him and Jim was hooked from the start. After the first meeting Jim can’t wait for the mail to run so that he can talk to Patrick again. It gets so bad that he starts to order packages from Amazon just so Patrick can deliver them to him. Will his scheming work or will the plan back fire in his face?

I liked the sweet sense of humor in the story and you have to love a man who wears shorts in the dead of winter. It was a cute, light read and I can’t wait to read more from Jay.

This was a very sweet and satisfying short story! The auther did a remarkable job of creating an interesting situation and multidimensional characters despite the brevity of the work. Well done, and thank you!
