I'm simply short of words to describe this book. Have you ever picked up a book to read and you can't put it down, not even to eat? Sleep evaded me until I was done with the book. Even though my eyes were hurting from reading and the light from my phone, I still couldn't put it down. I love Luca over and over and over again. Aria is my best female character in the Born in Blood Mafia Chronicles, even though she annoyed me stoned with her refusals to consummate her marriage. Luca is the perfect husband. I have read other books in this Chronicle but 'Bound by Honor' remains my favorite.

I love reading books about the mafia but it’s not always easy finding great books. But I can say that I totally loved this book!!

Welcome in the world of the Mob, where men are tough, where killing is the way of life and where marrying is not a matter of love but a matter of business. A way for the family to acquire power or a way to bring peace between two Mob families. Aria Scuderi was born in the Mob family from Chicago. When she was fifteen years old her father told her that she would marry Luca – The Vice – Vitiello. The oldest son of the head of the New York family to bring peace between the two families. Now three years later, the day has come that Aria has dreaded for so long. Her marriage to Luca Vitiello.

Luca Vitiello may be handsome and wealthy and for the outside world he is described as the perfect catch but Aria knows better. As the ‘heir’ of the New York mob family, Luca is the most cold-hearted and deadliest man of New York. She knows that he has no problem with killing a man or torture him. For him it’s all part of business.

The only way that Aria can get out of this marriage is through dead or eloping. But where would she go? Where could she hide from these dangerous men? And what will happen with her family is she elope? Is her freedom worth a war between the two Mob families?

No, Aria don’t think her freedom is worth a war so she decides to go through with the marriage, with a little hope in her heart that maybe she and her new husband can find an understanding in their marriage. And just when she thinks that her marriage and her husband have a chance, she discovers something that make her doubt everything.

In this dangerous world were you can’t trust anybody, love can be a dangerous emotion!

If you’re looking for a sweet romance, don’t read this book. The Mob world is a dark place, where men are cold and dangerous and where love has no place. I love Mob stories and I really loved this one. There happened something in this book that I usually don’t like but here I can understand why Luca did it. In his world it is their way of life. I didn’t like it but I can follow his logic about it.

I loved this story so much that I went straight from this book into the next one.
