This book confirmed the suspicions I have had for a while now.
I have seen more than enough articles claiming that intense exercise makes us healthy and extends our lives but any time I read an article that talks about some extremely old person, these people never seem to have never done strenuous workouts in their lives.
I read "World's Greatest Health & Fitness Myths" and "Why You Should Avoid Exercise" and then found a couple of articles online that were talking pretty much along the same lines and so I was convinced enough to give up the strenuous workouts. I do hard physical work that I have recently cut down the hours and also given up the intense workouts apart from some very brief isometrics that mostly target some shoulder problems I have. I feel so much better for it. I wish I had read this stuff sooner.
