Rated 5.00/5 based on 4 reviews
Superheroes. Evil minions. And one hell of a conflict of interest. “Love for the Cold-Blooded” is a light-hearted jaunt through a world of superheroes and villains, android dolphins, mind control rays, eldritch artifacts stolen from the tombs of ancient gods, and young men loving not wisely, but well. About Alex Gabriel

It all began when I learned to decipher the alphabet. I soon found that the world was full of wonderful stories – but not all of the tales I wanted to read were being told. In self-defence, I began to write, and haven’t stopped since.

In what little time my busy schedule of reading and writing has left me, I’ve worked as a copywriter, a translator, an English teacher, a linguistics tutor, an alibi S.O., a soap maker, a cloakroom attendant, a bartender, and other such things. Only the jobs that involve writing have stuck.

Loved the book, the world and especially the characters. I started reading and couldn't put it down until it was finished. I loved the main and the side characters so much. Would love to see more of them, or another book set in this universe.

I loved this book so much. This universe that the author has created is so epic! I wish there was a sequel. I would recommend this book to everyone.

Terrific story; hilarious in spots, romantic in other spots, with enough action to live up to the four-color genre. (And enough sex to live up to the erotica genre; yay!) I loved seeing Pat's perspective on the hero-villain dynamic, and how he actively respects everyone in the community--even the people on the other side, even the ones he thinks are losers.

Silver Paladin's social awkwardness was alternately touching and frustrating, which was excellent. Watching him be gobsmacked by Pat's endless casual commentary on villain lifestyles was great fun.

I'd love to see more in this universe--a sequel from Nick's point of view, or a story about the serpent sisters, or any of the other characters mentioned in passing.

This is a fantastic book. The characters are very well drawn. There's spice, adventure, humour, and real depth of emotion. Not to mention hot sex! I highly recommend this book - especially if you like a twist on the classic superhero story. And if you don't, then this book will convert you!
