Kelly Patricia, Lee was born on March 3, 1979 to Roland and Patricia Pyfrom, in New York City’s South Bronx. Kelly was the sixth child born to Patricia, and nurtured to be a strong Christian even from infancy. The seven children of Kelly’s family were obligated to participate in the liturgy of the Christian environment, and were expected to love, respect and abide by the rules that govern the structure of the church.
When Kelly was 3 years old the family moved to New Jersey but soon re-located to Jamaica Queens, where she attended Community Baptist Church, under Reverend Johnson and then the Blanche Memorial Baptist Church, under the guidance of Reverend Doctor, Stella L. Mercado who guided, her parishioners with the anointed skills that could be given by non but the Lord. Kelly grew strong in the Lord, working on the Usher Board, and participated in other church activities until she left home to attend college.
Kelly attended Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland, and earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree. Her major was Business Administration and her minor was Education. In June, 2000 Kelly was offered a job in an after school program for at-risk youth. It was here that she developed a love for teaching. In 2002, two days after her college graduation, Kelly was hired to teach Reading in a Baltimore City Elementary school. She became a Mentor to one of her young female students and developed a long lasting relationship. It was at Collington Square School that she became a Program Assistant Director for an after-school program, and raised money by producing a Gospel Concert. This Fundraiser concert short time she opened her own Entertainment Management Company, named Next level Entertainment. It was on one of her assignments that she met her present husband, Jimmy D. Lee Jr., a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army. Jimmy and Kelly were married in 2007 and now have 2 children. Jimmy’s military assignment brought them to Petersburg, Virginia where God called both of them to work in the ministry of “Higher Way Ministries, under the Leadership and apostolic covering of Bishop Darren L. Gay Sr.
Both of them are involved in the activities of the church. Kelly is a member of the Choir and is the Coordinator of the Churches Social Media Ministry. As a directive from God, Kelly wrote her first book to restore, empower and encourage others to work on a personal relationship, and bring people to the knowledge of the truth. Kelly has a love for God’s word and a desire for the body of Christ of rise to their greatest potential through the application of God’s word in their personal walk with Him.
