Tales of Revelation and Despair

Rated 5.00/5 based on 2 reviews
Tales of Revelation and Despair is a collection of dark fairy tales divided into two books. Book one was written among the cemeteries, gypsy camps, and cold, clammy passageways of underground Paris. Book two was written in the desert, three years after my return. Told with traditional simplicity, each tale is an exploration of the ideal, the capacity of human potential, and the nature of despair. More

During my youth I loved A Light in The Attic and Where the Sidewalk Ends: as an adult this book brings me back to those readings with just the right amount of heaviness. Honestly, who other than this author writes fairytales in it’s true form? I have yet to find any. Prince of The Lonely Crown, The Leopard Lily, Wild Like the Woods, and the Girl Who Wrestled Bears are my top favorites, though this short collection is an overall gem! I would like to know more about this author as to how these stories formed, where in the desert Desirèe C'est Moi is writing from and when I can expect to read more. This has been recommended to all of my indie friends to read on their own or with their kids. Easily a modern day Grimm’s Fairy Tales.

These fairy tales are like candy for the cerebrum! Dive into a fantastical world that will take you back to your childhood days of reading Grimm's fairy tales. Fables are not just for children! This book is a rare treat and a delicious read. Desirèe C'est Moi does a superb job of transporting the reader into another world. The only downside is that there isnt more to read from this author. This book is definitely worth the read! Thank you for bringing back fairy tales!
