Shifted
I am back!!! Finally got back in. I am 26 years old and after 4 year hiatus, I'm ready to actually start working on Mage-Slayer again. To any and all on here who did read my work thank you
I am older, wiser and busier I will admit. I am an insulator now, a pieceworker. I live alone, still in Shelburne Ontario and I have to take care of everything myself, and work 10-14 hour days. I am also considered a contractor, which means this time is a shitshow as I have to file my own taxes. So please forgive me. I need to deal with adult stuff, and also refresh myself on the material (re read Shifted)
If I can, maps will be accompanying any further work as I have spent the last four years world building so their is that.
But I promise I am back, I am working and I will try and start posting again as soon as possible. This story has been burning in my head since I was 16 I thought after I lost my work on my old computer I'd just have to let it die. But I can't. I love the idea too much. So I may need lots of editing in Shifted still, and plenty of polishing. But the story itself is valid and to important to me to give up writing

Quite enjoyed the book from start to finish :) I'm also really looking forward to reading the updated version
Well, I gave it a shot. If you want to read a book about a person's personal taste in music, then this is the book for you. After about 40 pages, I was bored to tears and gave up. The author does do a good job of describing items and locations, but it wasn't enough to keep me going.
Somebody with more patience might get past all the background blah-blah and find a good book.
To the author I would suggest getting all of the introductions done within 15 pages. You waste too much time talking about things like playing with your phone, combing your hair, changing clothes. That is super boring stuff that needs to be edited out of the book. Nobody cares. Same with the music.
