I loved Winter Fire and could not wait for the second book of the series. Hailstorm went far beyond my expectations and hopes, delivering a well told story that dives even deeper into my favorite characters and story lines. The author uses amazing detail and imagery to take the reader right back to Yew Dales and to the challenges, both old and new, the group must face. The excitement and action of Hailstorm makes it nearly impossible to put down. If you're looking for quality writing and a fast-paced, interesting story, read this series. I highly recommend both Winter Fire and Hailstorm!

I have been waiting for the sequel to Winter Fire since I finished, and Hailstorm was well worth the wait.
Sequels don't usually compare to the first book in a series, but Hailstorm makes the transition beautifully with breathetaking scenes, dynamic characters, and writing that once again surpasses the average Young Adult novel. The story-line of Hailstorm follows close after Winter Fire's end, and manages to not only keep the story going and growing, but also to gracefully add new plots to the action and deeper insights into your favorite characters.
Hailstorm is a fantastic read, and a fantastic addition to the Winter Fire series. Highly recommended.
