Review by: Stan Adelman on July 23, 2015 :
Having grown up on weekly TV westerns, I was intrigued to find this series combining that setting with one of my favorite genes: fantasy. I've just finished the 1st book, and I enjoyed it so much that I've already purchased books 2 & 3. The protagonists are appealing, and the villains are dastardly. The actions of the characters make sense from their points of view, and the flow of the story is consistent with what they knew at the time. The pacing of the novel is also excellent. I'm looking forward to reading the other books in the series.
