The Circle theory was developed in 1942 by Dr. Thaddeus Long to explain the interrelationships between all human life on the planet. Although Dr. Long died before fulfilling his dream of finding a practical application for his theory, modern computers have the ability to use it in many ways.
Whether this is a good thing or not remains to be seen, but the theory and its resultant use is the foundation of the new YA Sci-Fi series, CIRCLES.
