I don't claim to have ever done anything normal in my life. At age 19 l rode off on a motorcycle from the farm where I was raised in Pennsylvania. I finally returned to visit five years later with a husband twice my age. That marriage produced two wonderful sons and ended in divorce. Husband number 2, ten years younger than me, is still my good friend. I may have finally gotten it right with number 3. At least our ages are very similar!
Along the way, I have delved into jobs ranging from bar tending to shoe sales to factory work. When I tired of stocking salad bar at age 38, I started back to school. I never really planned on any particular career, but learning became so addictive that I plunged through more education than you could use to stuff a turkey. I'm a geomorphologist at heart - a person who loves knowing how the landscape is formed. I taught for a year with the University of Pa. system and then returned to Missouri to resolve the long distance relationship I'd had for so long with my current partner. Events led me to stay unemployed and I have used part of that time to engage in the writing that gives me pleasure. It is my hope that readers will enjoy my efforts too.
I am just getting into this social network thing. In the meantime, please reach me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
