If you like it rough (your reading, that is), read "Her Boyfriend's Submission". It definitely has an underlying theme of pushing your own limits, pushing the limits of your partner, in whatever ways you can. It's sumptuous sin for your pleasure.
Priya is out to please her higher power, her lover. But in that, she definitely has room to please herself as well. Their little rants, their speech, their exchanges back and forth border on comical, but they keep the momentum going. Priya is girl who is willing to try, do and say anything to satisfy. You can tell that Priya was raised in a good household, one that praised manners and raised a dirty, dirty girl.
The story has a bit of reprieve from the sexual indulgences when Priya's boyfriend, lover, whatever he would prefer to be called, fails to give Priya back the emotional love she seeks. Her achievements in the boudoir, however, are a source of pride to her. She feels worthy of him, no matter how the relationship ends, he can't take that away from her.
He makes sure Priya knows her place, but it is to keep a distance between them. In one scene, Priya thinks, nay, knows that he gave her a gift that "seemed to come with strings attached, and she was reeling from his disappointment and her own crashing self-confidence". Something a bit deeper there, perhaps?
