Barbara Fretz enjoys writing both fiction and non-fiction, although, her preferred genre is creative non-fiction. She draws ideas from her childhood as a Mennonite girl in the 1960s in rural Ontario, Canada to her many years living in Southeast Asia and Australia. In 2012 she self-published an anthology of short stories based on her life growing up on a rabbit farm called “Tails from Bunnyview.” In 2003 her original screenplay won a New Screenwriters of Western Australia development grant. When she’s not writing, she watches the native birds playing in the giant eucalyptus trees from her office window in regional Western Australia.
