About Lila Felix

Lila Felix made the decision to write a book after being encouraged by friends. She is a stay at home mom to three wild children and three boisterous dogs and her high school sweetheart husband encourages her daily. Between writing books, she loves to read and watch sappy 80's movies. Favorite things: ice cream, anything purple, roller derby and any kind of music she can get her hands on. If you're looking for her, try looking in the swamp, she's probably duct taping something under the shade of a Cypress tree.

Firstly - Lila Felix, what an amazing name. I scribbled it down quickly with a note of the book title and page I was on so that I could continue to read this on my commute home from work and it's a name made for fame if ever I wrote one! It just flows so well and should be autographed all over the place!!

Now onto the review...
I have a full blown crush on Stock - a totally fictional guy and I have a crush! I think he's a fantastic character, so much internal conflict and turmoil and all of it is caused by a desire to do the right thing. To protect those and that that he loves.

His family work so well together, even though they are fractured and working through numerous things I loved the interactions between Stock and Will, the constant switching of roles between 'parent' and child, close siblings, mature voice of reason and childish angst. They were great.

The courting was without a doubt one of the cutest things I've read in a long time - I think the balance you managed to get between old fashioned honest romance and the steamy romance that is all too common nowadays. It was lovely and refreshing to read something that proves you can have both and still be a good read!!
