The first book, The Calling, leaves off with Garrett as the new pack leader and Rayna being infected but not yet shifting. Jacob, the young Omega wolf has gone missing along with the evil vixen, Carmen. The Gathering continues Rayna and Garrett's tale. Garrett still feels bad for infecting her as Rayna continues to consider the werewolves monsters and fearing her change. The Collective, a group of Breed leaders, that Malcolm had called together still want Rayna to be the “spokesperson” for bringing the breeds into the public’s eye.
This book is filled with suspense and adventure as Carmen returns wanting her place beside Garrett, Rayna is kidnapped...again...by the Collective group, Garrett's old partner from the police force, Chad Burrows, is brought into the story along with the return of the handsome, yet mysterious, vampire Sabriel.
Lily surprises the reader by things not happening as you would guess. The twists and turns keep you glued to the book to see what will happen next.
