Fast paced, engaging and entertaining!

The book is well written with an engaging plot that gets you rooting for Gregory within the first chapter. And the story just keeps improving. One thing I really like about the book is that it gets you involved. Be it Lesley's story or Gregory's. The book invokes your imagination and also makes you wish you were a part of Gregory's world. The stage has been beautifully set for the coming books.

An amazing story which follows the journey of a 14 year old orphan who cannot afford to learn magic. An unknown uncle gets in touch and he travels on an airship to the capital where he becomes a hero.

That is when the story gets started. I love the writing style, character portraits and development, the complex plot covering two countries, three belief systems as well as magic, science (of a sort), demons/angels and school. I find to say more would mean providing spoilers so just read it and like me you will live in hope of a sequel.
