About Jen Golembiewski

"A writer creates many lives, changes lives, and with that lives forever." ~ Jen Golembiewski

I have ALWAYS wanted to be a writer! I started out drawing picture books when I was 4, and the obsession grew from then on! I love creating fantasy adventures and bringing life to new characters. And when I'm not doing that I'm either spending time with my husband and son at our home in Wisconsin, or battling monsters in one of my favorite video games.

I have just finished this earlier and I'm about to start on the second book in the series.
What a page turner. If real life weren't such an intruder, I could have finished this book in one go.
I love the darkness of the setting. It felt contemporary but it still had that vintage charm about it. As to the characters - both foul and benevolent - I loved Sarain and Kit the best. Winston , at this point, is still a huge question mark for me. I'm eager to know how things pan out between him and Sarain.
With regard to the quality of the writing, it could make good use of some editing here and there but overall, it was an entertaining story that pulled me from the get go.

One of those stories that you feel yourself getting pulled more and more into. The characters are so well developed that you can't help falling in love with them.

i recieved this book in exchange for an honest review.
I really really enjoyed this book. This is the first book i have read by this author and i will definately be looking to read more of her work. Her writing is extremely imaginative but real at the same time making it a very enjoyable and compelling read.
The charachters in this book are brilliant, i loved Sarain!! People who read my reviews know how much i love the strong female charachter and she is definately this! With most strong charachters she has inner vulnerability that she tries to hide away and push to the back of her mind. She has been through so much and has come out of the other side - a good lesson for us all.
Winston - i loved his charachter so must, i wont say too much as i dont want any spoilers but i loved how his charachter developed throughout the book, there is something about the way this charachter has been written that you want to read more about him, to know him more.
The last 4 chapters there are so many twists and turns, it brought out so many emotions for me, especially one scene. This is a must read if you love urban fantasy with a different spin to it
Loved it!!!
