About Ken Horsfall

Ken Horsfall is 69 years old but has the lifestyle of a much younger man. He has had a life of looking for new adventures, whether they be in the workplace, recreational, or social. He has always looked for that extra curiosity in life, and in his own words, he has experienced them all.

Ken has worked as an optical glass fitter, assembly line worker, shepherd, shearer, cattle man, crayfisherman, tyre mechanic, Qualified motor mechanic, welder, qualified commercial diver, television cameraman, underwater film-maker, nightclub owner, factory engineer, tobacco factory manager, sawmill engineer, service manager, forestry mechanic, garage owner, bar owner, master mechanic, equipment manager, power station operator, and granite importer. He is now a hotel owner.

Ken is fascinated by making and improving anything mechanical. He has worked on the development of underwater housings for cameras and lighting, solar tracking systems, bulk glue feeders, kinetic energy water motors, towel-less bathrooms, coconut-fibre takeaway food containers, submergible yachts, and has many more projects in mind.

He states that he has an overall imbalance of male hormones, which has led him to many escapades. He has a dislike for consultants (don’t mention that word to him), and a dislike for disrespectful people.

He does sometimes worry about his teenage life and the trouble it caused to many people. He often wonders how he got to have such a variety of experiences in life and the opportunities that came his way.

He is still living his adventure in Ben Tre, Vietnam, where he owns the Ben Tre Oasis Hotel with his wife Lieu.

And the adventure continues…
