Biographical sketch of Rev. Johnson Mugambi Mutikwa
Rev. Johnson is an ordained Anglican priest serving in the Anglican church of Kenya, in the Diocese of Embu. He was ordained as a transition Anglican deacon in August 2009 at St. Paul’s Cathedral Embu, Kenya by the Rt. Rev. Henry Nyaga Kathii (Rtd) Bishop of the Diocese of Embu Kenya.
He was then priested by Bishop Henry at the Immanuel church Kigari, Embu, Kenya. Since his ordination Rev. Johnson has served in various parishes in the Diocese of Embu.
Rev. Johnson is co-founder and Director of Veil Lifters Group, Mess to Message Kenya, Johnson Center for Research in Education, Inclusion and Diversity Assistance Trust and Embumedia24limited business Academy Editor. An innovative and racially diverse academy, largely comprised of people in their 20’s & 30’s.
Rev. Johnson has trained leaders and has written dozens of articles and books. Rev Johnson is a contributing blogger for Christianity Today, an online columnist for guest blogger.
He contribute on twitter and on face book to make a world of difference and change life online. On a personal note, N M Johnson is married to his wonderful wife Nancy Johnson. He has one beautiful little daughter called Blessing M. Johnson. Rev. Johnson was born in Embu Kenya on July 12; 1984.He is the third of the five children of Peter Mutikwa and Jane Muthoni.
His early life was spent in the village, while his father served as an agricultural extension officer in Embu County. Rev. Johnson continues to serve the church of Christ devotedly to this day. On most Monday Sabbath days Johnson spends time on various researches for his writing project as a writer.
In his spare time, Rev. Johnson and his wife are raising their daughter Blessing Johnson and working to keep the family busy.
In his other spare time Johnson is an avid reader and enjoying adventuring with pen as a writer because writers need to keep all his five senses active to be able to write vividly. N M Johnson is involved with pastoral care counseling, spiritual direction and self-improvement of individuals and the community, as well as adult formation.
He perceives his ministry of pastoral care to have a primary focus on the development of individual as backed by luke2:52 and Jesus increased in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and Man.
The four dimensions are mental, physical, spiritual and social development as an essential part of the lives of both individuals and communities. His personal hobbies and interests include reading, writing, art, architecture, football and walking.
N.M.Johnson is regarded as evangelical, inspirational speaker and a writer. But in general, his theology is Calvinist in dualism. In many situations, the pastor needs to be a Bible teacher, accountant, strategist, visionary, computer tech, counselor, public speaker, worship director, prayer warrior, mentor, leadership trainer, and fundraiser.
