*I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review*

This book was great! Starts out with Nick and Lauren becoming new partners. She is a forensic psychologist who happens to have visions of the dead. She works with the police and helps solving crimes by getting flashes from the dead, of course without very many people knowing. Nick is and FBI Agent who gets matched up with her on a serial killer case. The Phantom Killer. They have ups and downs, like any partnership but they work things out great! When Lauren is targeted by The Phantom, Nick is lost. He’s on a ticking clock because she only has a few days to live. It gets very intense and I just couldn’t put it down because I had to find out what was going to happen! And when I figured out who the Phantom Killer was….omg! I can’t say anymore because I don’t want to give the whole book away, but you need to read this!!
Overall this book is great, definitely a 5 STAR book! I think another thing that I loved about this book is that it reminded me of Brennan and Booth in the TV show Bones, which I love! Now that I’ve got book 2 down, I’m ready for book 3 of the between the worlds series!

OMG. I loved the first book but this one is surperb. Tracee Ford hit it out of the park with this book. The mystery is attention grabbing immediately. There is just enough information given to let reader make their own decisions but you still aren't sure till the end. Definitely must read.

I read this book twice and loved it both times. In this tale, the author takes the reader on a frightening journey down a dark and twisted path with Dr. Lauren Harris, a renowned forensic psychologist. With the help of her new partner, Nick Bennette of the FBI, Lauren struggles to catch a cold-hearted serial killer known as The Phantom. Lauren has a special secret that may be the key to solving this series of hideous crimes--she is an empath--she can speak with the dead.

Tracee Ford shows her talent for the paranormal once again. I truly enjoyed the cast of characters, especially Lauren and Nick. All of the characters in this book are very believable. And the romance builds from warm to steamy at the perfect pace. Lauren's personal struggle with the loss of her parents and the special bond she has with her family and friends helps to make this story relatable in spite of the paranormal aspect.

This book is a wonderful mix of romance, fun, mystery, and the paranormal that I would highly recommend.
