A Bible-reading plan, attractively set out, was devised in 1842 by Robert Murray McCheyne, a minister in Dundee, Scotland. It is used by millions of Christians. You could invite a few friends to join you, and keep one another going. More
This Bible reading plan is used by millions of Christians around the world. It may be used over one or two years, and covers the New Testament and Psalms twice and the rest of the Old Testament once. It starts with 'the four great beginnings' in scripture: Genesis 1, Ezra 1, Matthew 1 and Acts 1. You will find many 'aha' experiences as you work through the great narrative of God's purposes from creation to new creation.
Several Christian leaders give brief advice at the beginning on how to get started and how to keep going. These include John Stott, Ajith Fernando, Phillip Jensen, Joni Eareckson Tada and Elaine Duncan. The chapters for each day are attractively set-out in yellow and white alternate lines, for ease of reading.
