I just love Undraland! I was drawn in from the beginning and when it was done, I was left wanting more. The characters have a fire within that I do not often see in the books I read. I enjoyed it all, the good times and the bad. The emotions just radiated out of the pages and had me laughing and crying. I was so engrossed in the story that I would lose track of time. I just couldn’t wait to see what would happen next. Mary Twoney is an amazing writer with out of this world imagination. I have never read a book with gnomes in it, but she did a great job at making them into so much more than the normal gnome. I tell you what, I will never look at gnomes the same way again. The cliffhanger left me in a spot that made me want to scream! I so need to know more and I really want to know what laplanding means. Man I need the next book!
I am so glad I found this book and would recommend it to anyone who loves a great adventure with a magical twist. I can’t wait for book 2 to come out. I bet it will be great!

3 days ago I got my copy of the new novel from the hand of Mary E. Twomey , Undraland.
And when I started reading my first thought was: Oh no, it's a book about school girls!
But because each chapter is only a few page's long, I kept on reading.
I just couldn’t lay it down.
It's simply mesmerizing and it draws you in, step by step.
The story is about Lucy and with every step she takes Undraland takes form, the mystery grows.
Undraland and Lucy's companions start to get real and the story simply draws you in
Honestly I just could not stop reading!
Mary dives in to Scandinavian folklore to create a wonderful world. So for everyone interested in Scandinavian folklore it is great.
But if your not in to Scandinavian folklore there's absolutely no problem!
Mary describes a hole new world with all kinds of personalities that take form in every page you read.
I can truly say this book is an other masterpiece and I can hardly wait for the next one to come out.
So if you like fantasy just get this book, you won't be sorry a can tell you that!

Clever, whitty, and imaginative, Undraland by Mary Twomey is a thoroughly enjoyable, fast-paced read.
This Urban Fantasy follows the adventures of Lucy Kincaid, a well-written, snarky, easily relatable college student who has endured terrible loss, as she discovers wonderful truths about herself and the world around her.
It took me a chapter to get into rhythm with the Author's very modern voice, but the rest of the book was definitely worth the effort. Think the love-child of The Hobbit, Cassandra Claire, and Charlaine Harris, but from the perspective of a woman.
I must, therefore, admit that I'm hooked for life! My only regret is that the next book is not yet complete.
I will not go into deeper detail as I do not want to spoil the discovery of Undraland's well thought out and fascinating world of handsome men, magic, swords, fun takes on the classic fantasy races, and just the right amount of romance!
4/5 Stars only because I reserve 5 strs for books like 1984 or Shakespeare
