Indigo Bunting

Indigo buntings are common songbirds that range from the southeastern United States, to New York, the Great Plains, New Mexico, Arizona, and the southern portions of Canadian provinces. I'm intrigued that a male indigo is oblivious to the hottest weather on summer days. One source I have used tells us that even in this heat a male indigo sings 6 songs per minute and as many as 4,320 songs per day. More
