Set against the background of staging a large musical, Dead in the Water is a mystery with a death in it. The Author has worked in the theatre industry for several decades, and a sardonic but sympathetic understanding of its insanities suffuses this book. It is the first in a series set within the entertainment industry, oh, and it is intended to be entertaining. More
Dead in the Water is an unconventional detective story, set within the environment of staging a new production of a large off West-End musical. The narrator is an unwitting sleuth, perhaps better suited to finding lost spectacles than solving a mysterious death and is dedicated to the consumption of coffee, beer and curry, in the true tradition of the british theatre technician. The author has been working in the industry for several decades and brings his specialist knowledge to the book, hopefully in an amusing way. This book is the first of a series, which will examine little known areas of the theatre business, and kill people in a variety of entertaining and unpleasant ways.
