What a wonderful read this was! This book is full of mystery, excitement, surprises, medieval battle, romance- all of the makings of a fantastic fantasy book. The characters, for those of you whom don't know, are based off the old-school King's Quest PC games when we had brick towers for computers, haha. It's amazing to see the imagery and imagination that the author took with this book, interweaving the characters and places from the games into a patch-work quilt of a story- different pieces being woven into one beautiful fabric.

Wow! This book has been the missing link to my experience with the King's Quest games like WHOA! Honestly, as you can probably already tell, I'm a bit of a King's Quest nerd and I loved the series growing up. And now to have this book that continues the story and fills in the gaps that left me guessing- it's just too much. I'm in serious happy land right now!!!

Daventry has created an amazing bridge between the King's Quest game series by Sierra and her imaginative story weaving. So many people have gotten into the KQ series, but many of us have been left at the end of a game wondering what happens next? This is to be expected from game designers that change hats and switch writers and developers from game to game, but Daventry does a beautiful job of connecting pieces of the King's Quest games into a coherent and magical story. Must read.

King's Quest is one of the most memorable and iconic PC games ever, rivaling the Final Fantasy series. The one thing they both have in common is a patchy storyline- until now! I'm so happy that I was recommended this book! It has all of the characters you'll know from KQ with a story that weaves in and out of the gameplay that will BLOW YOUR MIND! Loved it!

The original King's Quest game leaves some gaps in its story, and leaves you wondering what? and why? This wonderful book penned by Daventry gives a wonderful depth and background story to the games, filling out the story in a marvelous and wonderful way. To be honest, without this book I daresay I wouldn't be able to understand the King's Quest storyline very well at all. This isn't just a fun read- it's a part of the game I didn't know existed!
