About Shirley Roeloffze

Shirley’s successful journey from her own turmoil and pain to peace as well as her profound insight into human thinking, emotions and spirituality all enable her to offer realistic solutions to people battling with conflict and unhappiness and catastrophic loss.

Her background in psychology, adult education and many years of corporate consulting has provided a rich platform for her book, The Personal Turnaround System - How to Move from Turmoil to Peace and Enjoy the Journey. Very unusually, part of her consulting experience included being invited by the Abu Dhabi Government (United Arab Emirates) to spend three years conducting executive training in transformational thinking as a major strut in the Government’s modernisation programme. She enjoyed the unexpected situation of being a white English-speaking female (from Africa) impacting on the thinking of (mostly male) Arabic-speaking Muslims and receiving in exchange the utmost courtesy and helpfulness.

Shirley’s life and business experiences have come together to create a personal turnaround system which draws on her wealth of knowledge and insight. This is expressed in a style of writing which is easy to read and which facilitates readers using in their own lives the transformative tools offered in her book.

She is unendingly passionate about the desperate need in homes, businesses and nations for people to learn simple and effective ways to see new options and possibilities, to get beyond arguments and misunderstanding and to live together peacefully. She shares compellingly valid and achievable ways of doing this.

Shirley is convinced that a wholesome and peaceful life includes conscious awareness of our spirituality. This might be entirely outside any religious affiliation. She incorporates into her inspiring and reader-focused writing the deep wisdom she has gained over decades of spiritual study and meditation.
