ABOUT THE AUTHOR
As a writer, Angelin Sydney interweaves romantic stories with thrilling plots that twist and turn in many ways.
Since moving to Australia twenty-five years ago, she has had numerous incarnations. She was a banker, an insurance seller, housing loan broker, and home-stay mother to literally hundreds of international students. Over the years, she has also become a small business owner, casual kitchen hand and currently, a live-in nanny. So, one can say, she has been around.
Her most consistent role, however, is being a mother to her four wonderful children, one of whom has gone ahead leaving her devastated and heartbroken. It was his untimely departure that motivated her to write stories to help others heal, laugh, hope and dare to dream.
She is a believer in the kindness of people, so by extension, this has been the usual theme of her stories. She believes in redemption, love, and purpose. Every story she writes reflect these values.
For her, writing is as essential as breathing. The only reason she’d stop doing it is if she were incapacitated or dead. Working for a living gets in the way of her writing which she finds very sad. In the ideal world, all she’d be doing is entertaining her readers. This is her utmost wish.
As a novelist, her style is to keep conversations realistic. So funnily enough, although she doesn't swear, her characters do; perhaps this is her unconscious release.
The questions most readers ask her of her writing style: What makes you distinct from other writers?
There are two things: One, she likes to infuse her stories with what she calls the "everyday moment" because it adds flavour to the narrative. It gives it authenticity. For instance, if someone was depress she'd have the character watch a lot of infomercials on television. From her observation, this is a reality of life, when we are struggling, we do mindless activities like sleep or watch the paint dry.
Two, she likes the interplay of light and dark. "That's life, isn't it?" She said, adding that, "even in our period of mourning, there is laughter. And when we are happy, sadness still creeps into our lives. As a result of this, my stories tend to be a roller-coaster ride. A lot of ups and downs."

Like always, Angelin Sydney wrote an amazing book. (And on top of that, is using royalties for this book to make more amazing books such as Soldier on Australia and The Warrior.) Within every book she manages to give you so many emotions due to all the twists and turns in each story and the fact that no story is too similar which is a mistake many authors make.
Return to Cameron Country is a romantic, sexy book that gives you the feelings you used to have as a teenager experiencing things for the first time. I always feel so connected to the plots of her books because of how realistic it all seems.
It makes me kind of sad that these characters aren’t real life people. Don’t get me wrong, I really appreciate the authors imagination, but I wish that I could be happy for them in the way I get happy for people such as David and Victoria Beckham.
All in all, I loved this book. It was intense, and then it was mellow. It was fast paced, and then there were slow moments. I highly recommend this and especially all of her other books as well.

It was so good it only took me two days to read it. I couldn't put it down. It's fast paced, tightly written and the characters are lovable. The dialogues are realistic and added flavour to an already realistic scenes. I'm hooked. Definitely following this series.

Also read this book prior to publication. You are probably wondering where and how. This was first published on fictionpress. Over there it received amazing reviews and I have followed it ever since. I was one of those who begged her to publish it. And boy, am I glad that she did. Adding it to my library, you should do the same. Guys trust me, she's an awesome writer. This is not a paid review. My opinion can not be bought.

It was breathtakingly refreshing. The story was well plotted, the characters well-developed and the whole package was well crafted.
What I liked about it is the fact the book felt real, not only the dialogue but also the action scenes.
I also read her earlier books. They are all different so clearly Angelin Sydney does not follow a set formula.
Courting Pippa was a feel-good, light and airy romantic fluff.
Lifesaver in a Bikini was a mystery thriller romance novella.
And this is another altogether but obviously a notch higher than the first two books. From the first chapter to the last, this book was exciting to the point I couldn't put it down. Very addictive.
