How Kreg The Barbarian Became King Of Alencia

6550 words. When Kreg fled his native village in disgrace he hadn't the faintest inkling of the bizarre set of circumstances that would place him on the throne of a mighty kingdom far to the south. Told in a glossed-over history tome version, and from Kreg's point of view. A slightly different version of this story appeared in 9 Tales From Elsewhere, May, 2014.
