Unshackled features two poems that speak to the human condition. "Twenty Is Not Enough" is about a mother's frustration with her son and her desire to be unshackled to disrespect. "Free Indeed" recognizes the heat of racial differences in the US today. It begs for minorities to be unshackled to deficient attitudes and biased minds. About Kimberly Troupe

Kimberly “Kim” Troupe is currently enrolled at Full Sail University in the Creative Writing for Entertainment BA degree program. Honing her natural talent in writing, Kim hopes to complete her studies by November 2015. Additionally, Kim has worked in the public school system where she was a Title I parent and family liaison/advocate. This experience afforded her the opportunity to learn and utilize Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Photoshop. She would use these tools to write and publish weekly newsletters, present materials to conference goers on local and state levels, and teach basic computer operations. Kimberly Troupe would eventually become a minister and a business partner in two ventures, a childcare owner and proprietor of an event-planning establishment. All of these experiences would collectively help to mold Kim as a great listener and motivational leader, as well as lay the foundation for precision, organization, time management and creativity.

Kimberly Troupe’s enrollment and eventual completion at Full Sail University will help her to enhance and develop intelligent writing skills, and gain a vast knowledge of the entertainment industry. Achievement of these objectives coupled with diligence and fortitude will allow Kimberly Troupe to be a well-rounded writer with the credentials necessary to pursue future endeavors that include creator of an inspirational blog, novels and books of poetry, and markets for motivational speaking.

Kim Troupe is a mother of four, grandmother of four, and an active associate minister in her church.
