Allyson M. Deese, age twenty-six, is an author and a poet who just completed her degree in Medical Office Administration. She is a native of Asheville, North Carolina, where she resides with her family. She writes to uplift others and to raise awareness of domestic violence, and to do her part in ending the epidemic. Ms. Deese being a survivor of domestic violence and abuse has made it her life’s mission to aid other women in their transition from victim to survivor.
In her spare time, she enjoys reading, music, cooking, shopping, watching movies and spending quality time with her loved ones.
Allyson along with her sisters of the pen Linda Herman and Tinisha Johnson have penned a moving tribute to the importance of prayer entitled, Somebody Prayed for Me, available now. www.somebodyprayed4me.webs.com Allyson’s short story debut into romance, Advertising My Love will be available Summer 2011. Allyson has recently started an advice column entitled Ask Cookie.
Her goal is to gather with other authors who are also survivors of domestic violence and pen an anthology tentatively entitled, Love Is Not Abuse.
