About Robert Louis Hesslink Jr. ScD

Robert has spent a lifetime trying to understand human metabolism and weight management. As a young boy, he struggled with his weight and the burden of being overweight. His interest in sports lead him to study exercise science and sports medicine, eventually earning a Doctorate of Science from Sargent College of Health Sciences, Boston University, Massachusetts.

Robert served as a Naval Officer, Medical Service Corps in the United States Navy for six years. He conducted research on human performance in environmental extremes as a research physiologist in the Medical Services Corps. Upon leaving the United States Navy, Robert served in a variety of positions within the nutritional supplement and medical foods industry.
