About Kenneth Bennight

Kenneth Bennight grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas, and went to the University of Texas at Austin, where he was in Naval ROTC. After three years of active duty in the U.S. Marine Corps, he returned to Austin to attend the University of Texas School of Law. He graduated in December 1975, was admitted to the bar in May 1976, and has been practicing law ever since.

Kenneth has reduced his law practice and is spending more time writing. Most of his writing is fiction, though he occasionally writes nonfiction, including the legal reference handbook, Texas Law of Streets and Alleys.

Kenneth and his wife Susan were married June 6, 1970, and reside in San Antonio, Texas. They have two adult daughters and a grandson, who brightens their lives. They also own land backing up to the Navidad River in Lavaca County, Texas, which led to the inspiration for "Wild Man of the Navidad."
