Annie's Adventures: The Chemistry Calamity
Book 1 in the "Annie's Adventures" series by author Christina Li
I found "Annie's Adventures: The Chemistry Calamity ", to be a very enjoyable read! This is a fictional book loosely based on the Li household. "Annie" has four siblings ranging from 3 to 10 years of age and they are all home schooled. Christina Li seems to effortlessly combine the home school aspect of this book into the story line. I had the pleasure of reading the draft to this book a couple of years ago and simply fell in love with it! Christina had to put it on a back burner for a period of time while she worked on more serious books, ("Defeat Fear Forever" and "Allowing Joy into Your Life") but finally chiseled out the time to finish and publish it. The reason I anticipated the kick off of this series is that it is so very multifaceted! "Annie's Adventures" is a fun read and I also found it amazing in the way it wove together great family dynamics, in-depth home schooling, deep faith and belief in God and is a very good guide and snapshot of what it takes for home schooling to be successful. I'm looking forward to the next installment of "Annie's Adventures" soon!
