About Lisa Ash

I've been married to my wonderful husband Daniel Ash for the last 13 nearly 14 years, we have two beautiful girls named Elizabeth and Izabella, we have two horses, a dog and two budgies we live on 3 acres on the outskirts of Cooroy a lovely country town in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland Queensland Australia.

I started writing as a hobby to pass the time my husband used to work away in the mines and so I had a great deal of alone time, now he works locally and not so much alone time but I've fallen in love with the written word and so I have continued to pursue writing in my free time. I've been a Christian for 20 years and I wanted to write books with messages that apply to everybody, that will challenge all our moral compasses including my own. So each book I write has a subtle message.

Reading has been a favourite past time of mine for as long as I can remember, I still have vivid images of myself reading by torch light under my doona when I was a teenager because it was time for lights out and I couldn't bare to put the book down without knowing how it finishes, I'm still the same today.

As a mother I find there is a need to escape and unwind and be somewhere other than in a house filled with chores so escaping to another world through reading or writing has become of wonderful escape in my ordinary everyday life.

I work part time as a book keeper and writing has become my part time pursuit.
I love that I can travel the world without leaving my house when I read, I tell my husband I've looked from the top of the Eiffel Tower, I've drunk wine in Tuscany, I've ridden a horse across the desert of Dubai well I have in my imagination.

I've enjoyed the research writing has caused me to do and I've enjoyed where my imagination has been able to take me so I can write books.
