About Heather Justesen

Heather Justesen spent hours every day with her nose in a book long before she could read. She grew up in the heart of rural Utah where there was plenty of time and space for reading and daydreaming. After attending Snow College, she transferred to Southern Utah University, where she met her husband, bill, and received a BA in English literature.

While living in Utah Valley after they both graduated, they foster parented fifteen children and Heather worked for the newspaper and played in her garden. She now lives in her hometown of Fillmore, Utah, where she and her husband own a computer business, run on the volunteer ambulance service, and raise a wild mix of cats, dogs, chickens, geese, ducks, guineas and one tom turkey. Once in a while she still finds time to play in the garden.

Heather’s prior novels include The Ball’s in Her Court and Rebound. To learn more about Heather and her writing, visit her website at or her blog at She loves to hear from readers.

Review by: angelvelvet on July 19, 2011 :
Plot: Few books have me complaining when I have to put them down, but this one did! It keeps you on your toes, with a huge twist towards the end that you don't see coming.

Characters: I found myself getting mad at the annoying characters often! Heather does a great job of describing their personalities.

Setting: I found it confusing at first as to where Adrianna was at. There is a few places she goes to, and it's hard to keep track some times.

Overall: I give few books 5 star ratings. The lucky few have to be really good! Blank Slate was no exception. I was engrossed in it from the beginning and it kept my interest all the way into the satisfying ending. Definitely a great read!
